Disney Cruise Line has revealed plans to launch its first Asia-based Cruise Ship that will offer three and four-night itineraries in the following year.
The Disney Adventure, which is now under construction at the MV Werften shipyard in Wismar, Germany, will set sail from Singapore’s Marina Bay Cruise Centre in 2025. This launch results from a partnership between Disney Cruise Line and the Singapore Tourism Board and will continue for at least five years.
Senior Vice President & General Manager of Disney Cruise Line “Sharon Siskie” said in a press release on June 26, 2024, that:
Disney Adventure with a gross tonnage of 208,000 has a capacity to carry 6,700 passengers and 2,500 crew members, making it the largest Disney cruise ship ever. However, details about the date of the first journey and the first cruise season have not been disclosed yet. But they reveal what people can experience on board.
On the ship, families can explore 7 amazing themed zones, each designed to transport them into the world of Disney, Marvel, and Pixar.
These zones include:
Disney Imagination Garden: This is a captivating valley inspired by nearly a century of Disney stories, that includes open-air theatrical performances.
Disney Discovery Reef: An underwater adventure inspired by “The Little Mermaid,” “Lilo & Stitch,” “Finding Nemo,” and “Luca”. Families who are interested in shopping & dining would enjoy Disney Discovery Reef.
San Fransokyo Street: Inspired by “Big Hero 6,” this lively family entertainment zone includes interactive games, activities, and movies.
Wayfinder Bay: A poolside haven inspired by “Moana,” that offers breathtaking views.
Town Square: A fantasy woodland with stores, lounges, cafes, restaurants, and entertainment venues inspired by “Cinderella,” “Tangled,” “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “Frozen,” and “The Princess and the Frog.”
Marvel Landing: A center for Avengers-level activities. The area will feature new attractions and experiences based on popular characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Toy Story Place: An interactive water play area for children, that includes characters from “Toy Story” and themed dining spots.
This is a big move for Disney Cruise Line that shows their dedication to bringing their unique brand of family fun to the whole world.
